Conservation Areas

Both Kimbolton and Stonely have areas of special architectural or historic interest the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance, hence their designation as Conservation Areas.

In Kimbolton, in addition to the Grade I listed buildings - the Castle, Gatehouse and St Andrew's Church - are six Grade II* listed buildings and many Grade II listed buildings.   Equally important is the historic street pattern.

Stonely's Conservation Area is different in character from Kimbolton. There are no Grade I or II* listed buildings and the area is rural in aspect.
